Subject: Urgent: Brand Safety Breach – [Brand Name] ads funding animal abuse and fraud via Meta
Text: Dear [Brand Name] Management Team,
I am contacting you to bring a severe brand safety issue to your attention. Your official advertisements on Instagram are currently being displayed directly alongside and between video content published by fraudulent accounts that exploit and abuse animals for financial gain.
Across the globe, criminal networks are setting up fake animal rescue pages. They deliberately neglect, harm, or staging rescues of domesticated animals and wildlife to film shocking content. Their sole goal is to harvest donations from well-meaning citizens via online payment platforms.
As a major advertiser and a paying customer of Meta, your brand has the unique leverage to demand accountability. Your advertising budget is currently, albeit unintentionally, financing a digital ecosystem built on animal cruelty and international fraud. This poses an immediate and severe risk to your brand’s reputation and ethical guidelines.
I have documented evidence and screenshots of your sponsored advertisements appearing immediately before or after the video content of these specific scam accounts while scrolling through Instagram.
I strongly urge your marketing, legal, and compliance teams to escalate this matter with Meta’s global advertising department immediately. Please demand that strict content filters are put in place to ensure your brand safety is protected and that your funds do not support animal exploitation.
Thank you for your urgent attention to this matter and for protecting your brand’s integrity.
Sincerely,
[Your Name / Instagram Account]
Independent Animal Welfare Advocate
